producibility practices are followed.
20% - Performs a leadership role in developing training courses and plans. Also supports proposal
development, discretionary and strategic planning for valve components.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 9 years of experience in the design
and development of valve and fluid control devices (or an equivalent combination of experience and
education). This position requires strong technical knowledge in multiple valve types (Ball, Butterfly,
Poppet, etc). A comprehensive knowledge of rocket propulsion systems and associated valve functional
requirements is desired. Requires demonstrated leadership experience in developing complex fluid
component valve designs which lead to successful final producible product. Candidates should have
experience in machine design elements, working knowledge of all valve types, including seal and seat
designs, and valve producibility engineering. Working level knowledge of CAD software is desirable.
Candidates should also have design experience with complex mechanical and fluid handling systems
which integrate valve components.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S.
